SWAY Dance Academy Exams

Social Exams

Many students want to take the next step in improving their dance. Exam work improves technique such as posture, styling, rise and fall. Private lessons are required to undertake exams as it requires one on one instruction. Exam work is a good stepping stone towards competing.

You are judged on each dance with a score out 100 given. The overall rating is determined by the score given.

Honours - 95 and above for every dance

Highly Commended Pass - 85 and above for every dance

Commended Pass - 75 and above for every dance

Pass - 65 and above for every dance

​

As you proceed through the higher exams, the marking gets harder.

​
