These classes are Beginners classes and a General Social Classes (intermediate to advance) to teach you dances so that you can improve your technique and practice them to music. Just $15 per class per person. Below is a description of each class.

As of 29 June, Coronavirus Pandemic restrictions were eased enough to allow our classes and Cabarets to resume.

Our 4th July - Independence Day Ball will resume with limited numbers, BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL.

Our wednesday night class resumes 1 July but we will need to keep Contact Tracing Records so full names, phone numbers and email addressed are required (preferably prior to the that day. Classes are now $15.

Our Friday night class has been moved to the Campania Club as the Surrey Downs Community Centre has changed their floors and it is now no longer suitable to dance on. That class is now $15.

Our Monday morning, Saturday morning and Childrens classes are still on hold until Lynette has recovered from a recent knee operation.

Lynette & I have decided to suspend dance classes and Cabarets for 4 weeks as of 22 March 2020. Please read our reasoning for making this decision.

Our dancer’s health and that of their families are a priority to us. Many of our dancers or their families have underlying health issues which put them at greater risk.

The rules and regulations given by the Government and Department of Health are continually evolving and whilst we can currently comply with the 100 people maximum and the 4 square metre rule, social distancing remains an issue. People with regular partners are already in physical contact with each other so dancing with each other is not an issue as such but singles partnering other singles or with one of our helpers (including ourselves) means social distancing is not being strictly adhered to.

Although we are regularly cleaning surfaces, light switches, taps etc, we cannot guarantee surfaces are not being contaminated between cleans. Although we have been able to purchase antibacterial soap for use in the bathrooms, we have struggled to obtain enough hand sanitizers for use around the dance floor to ensure hygiene standards are being met.

There are reports of people without any symptoms of the Coronavirus testing positive for the virus, so therefore others may have the virus and could be spreading the virus unwittingly. Without the ability to test people for the virus not showing any symptoms, we cannot guarantee a safe environment is maintained.

Recently 10 US tourists in Adelaide tested positive for the coronavirus and it is believed that they visited locations in public places. It is unknown if they have transmitted the virus to other people and it would be too early for symptoms (if any) to manifest.

The number of cases of coronavirus within South Australia continues to rise and we believe we need to take steps to help stem the spread of the virus. Following the lead of other sporting bodies throughout Australia, a number of dance studios are suspending classes, cabarets and competitions and we believe it is the responsibility of all dance studios owners to suspend classes so that the spread of the virus can be reduced or eliminated as quickly as possible so we can all get back to our daily business and our enjoyment of dance.

Whilst we understand your frustration in not being able to attend dance events, we do recommend that you continue to practice at home in the interim. We will endeavour to upload articles and videos on our On-line Instruction web page for you to refer to and learn from. We thank you for your understanding in this time of global crisis.

Regards Luke and Lynette
